Fraud

We have instituted a few Fraud Controls to help reduce payment problems:

Hide Credit Card Option when Billing and Shipping addresses are different

This was a tough one, but overall, it had to be done. The reason we enabled this is that the Bad Guys will put in YOUR GOOD BILLING INFO (trying to bill the order to you, the Good Guys) but then try to ship to 123 Bad Guy Street. See the problem? We know that lots of totally legit customers would like to have billing go to one address but ship to another, but at this point, there is no system we know of that can tell that the different shipping address is also related to your billing info. Sure wish there were such a system. If you need to mail to a different address, then choose Check/Money Order as your payment option and then snail mail in your check or money order. We get snail mail payments ALL THE TIME, no lie. It works out fine. Allow for a little extra time. As soon as we receive your snail mail payment, we update your order and put it into the processing queue. You also receive an email showing that your order has been updated and that it is being processed.

Address Verification System

Provided by the online payment processor. If the Billing info submitted doesn't match what your credit card company has on file, then a credit card submission will fail. This is all controlled by the online payment processor. We don't have any control over what their report says. Our shopping system simply takes their report and then gives thumbs up or thumbs down. Thus, even if you believe that the billing info that you have submitted is a match for what your credit card company has on file, if the AVS report comes back as thumbs down, then our shopping system will not create the order, so please try to be as accurate as possible. Thanks.

CVV number on your credit card

You MUST provide the special security number on your credit card. This is one additional bit of info that the Bad Guys might not have. It's usually on the back of most credit cards.

We hope you are okay with the Fraud Controls we have put in place. They have been a BIG help in reducing fraud issues, and this is good for you and us. Thanks for your understanding.
